The Role of AI
What AI Actually Does in Our System
AI has one limited job. It extracts the fault details from a service request and matches them to the right record in our diagnostic database. The diagnosis comes from that record, not from the AI.
The AI does not need to know who you are to do this job. It works with technical details such as equipment model, fault code, and readings. Names, phone numbers, and addresses are not sent to the AI.
The work is split between two kinds of AI, our own local AI and OpenAI, to protect the private information of customers.

A large part of the work is done by AI running on our own systems, so that data is never sent to an outside provider.
OpenAI's Commitment
For the part that uses the OpenAI API, OpenAI's published business terms state:
- Business data is not used to train its models by default
- Encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher) and at rest (AES-256)
- Retained up to 30 days, only to provide the service and detect abuse
- API platform certified for SOC 2 Type 2
